Each day at 00:05 UTC we take your available balance (funds not reserved for pending sends), multiply by the current APY divided by 365, and credit the result as a ledger entry labeled Daily yield. Because it lands in your balance, tomorrow's accrual is on a slightly larger base.
Customer balances are held one-to-one in USDC and USD. Stabality earns on the reserve assets backing those balances, on short-duration treasury instruments and stablecoin reserve programs, and shares the majority of that return with you. The rate is reviewed regularly and any change is published on this page before it takes effect.
Yield is not interest from a bank deposit and is not FDIC insured. It is not lending your funds to leveraged traders. Your balance is never locked or staked.
